Greece was once the land of the gods, which is probably why its food is heavenly. If you want to experience a divine taste and a lively zesty flavor, then Sofrito is what you have been looking for. Combining vinegar and lamb, this recipe will offer you a thick and delicious dish your family will love to have again and again.
Ingredients
- 455 lamb meat
- 235 ml red wine vinegar
- 30 ml olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 bunch parsley
- 15 g flour
- 6 g salt
- 2 g pepper
Instructions
- Cut the lamb meat into bite-sized pieces, peel and mince the garlic, and chop the parsley.
- Rub the meat with salt and pepper. Place the flour in a bowl and dip the lamb pieces in them until evenly coated.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the lamb meat until it turns brown. Make sure to scrape the surface of the skillet to remove brown bits. These add a stronger taste to the rest of the meat.
- Add the garlic, parsley and red wine vinegar to the meat and allow the mixture to simmer for 30 minutes on a low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the meat from sticking to the pan.
- Serve the lamb meat on toasted garlic bread or stuff pita pockets with it.
