Mexican cuisine is hot, but this recipe is even hotter. And the best thing about this easy-to-make recipe is that it will be on your dinner table before you know it. So, don’t order Mexican in today, and amuse your man with salsa chicken.

Ingredients

  • 235 ml salsa (you can choose mild, medium or hot depending on your taste)
  • 10 g taco seasoning mix
  • 4 chicken breast halves
  • 115 g shredded Cheddar
  • 30 g sour cream

Instructions

  1. Before you touch anything else, heat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Rub taco seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts and then place them in a slightly greased baking dish.
  3. Pour the salsa sauce on top of the chicken and then place the baking dish in the oven for 25-35 minutes. However, check the chicken before that to make sure that it doesn’t overcook. Your chicken will be ready when it is white and tender and its juices are clear.
  4. Sprinkle the chicken with cheese and bake it for 3-5 more minutes or until the cheese melts and turns bubbly.
  5. Finally, add sour cream to your chicken or skip this step completely if you don’t want to.
