Mexican cuisine is hot, but this recipe is even hotter. And the best thing about this easy-to-make recipe is that it will be on your dinner table before you know it. So, don’t order Mexican in today, and amuse your man with salsa chicken.
Ingredients
- 235 ml salsa (you can choose mild, medium or hot depending on your taste)
- 10 g taco seasoning mix
- 4 chicken breast halves
- 115 g shredded Cheddar
- 30 g sour cream
Instructions
- Before you touch anything else, heat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Rub taco seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts and then place them in a slightly greased baking dish.
- Pour the salsa sauce on top of the chicken and then place the baking dish in the oven for 25-35 minutes. However, check the chicken before that to make sure that it doesn’t overcook. Your chicken will be ready when it is white and tender and its juices are clear.
- Sprinkle the chicken with cheese and bake it for 3-5 more minutes or until the cheese melts and turns bubbly.
- Finally, add sour cream to your chicken or skip this step completely if you don’t want to.
