This Southern grilled BBQ ribs recipe is another taste of America. Nothing can beat good ol’ ribs on the barbie. However, if you’re looking for a change from the regular routine, this smokey recipe is a must. All you need is to fire up your grill and enjoy this southern taste in your own backyard.
Ingredients
- 905 g baby back pork ribs
- 120 ml water
- 40 ml red wine vinegar
- 60 ml cider vinegar
- 40 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 120 ml ketchup
- 30 ml mustard
- 3 ml pepper sauce
- 30 g butter
- 55 g brown sugar
- 0.4 g salt
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius (360 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Place the ribs in roasting pans and pour a mixture of water and red wine vinegar on top.
- Cover the ribs in foil and bake them for 45 minutes. However, make sure to baste them halfway through cooking.
- Pour the ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, butter, brown sugar, pepper sauce and salt in a pan. Allow the mixture to boil before reducing the heat and keeping it to simmer for an hour.
- Fire up your grill for medium heat and then lightly oil it.
- Move the ribs from the oven and onto the grill. Grill for 15 minutes and only turn the ribs once.
- Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce and grill for 8 more minutes on each side.
