This Southern grilled BBQ ribs recipe is another taste of America. Nothing can beat good ol’ ribs on the barbie. However, if you’re looking for a change from the regular routine, this smokey recipe is a must. All you need is to fire up your grill and enjoy this southern taste in your own backyard.

Ingredients

  • 905 g baby back pork ribs
  • 120 ml water
  • 40 ml red wine vinegar
  • 60 ml cider vinegar
  • 40 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 120 ml ketchup
  • 30 ml mustard
  • 3 ml pepper sauce
  • 30 g butter
  • 55 g brown sugar
  • 0.4 g salt

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius (360 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Place the ribs in roasting pans and pour a mixture of water and red wine vinegar on top.
  3. Cover the ribs in foil and bake them for 45 minutes. However, make sure to baste them halfway through cooking.
  4. Pour the ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, butter, brown sugar, pepper sauce and salt in a pan. Allow the mixture to boil before reducing the heat and keeping it to simmer for an hour.
  5. Fire up your grill for medium heat and then lightly oil it.
  6. Move the ribs from the oven and onto the grill. Grill for 15 minutes and only turn the ribs once.
  7. Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce and grill for 8 more minutes on each side.
