Pita Pizza with Ham and Cheese
Pita Pizza with Ham and Cheese is one of those easy recipes that stands out from the crowd. It’s ideal for busy people, those with kids, and those who love pizza but are counting weight lost rather than happiness gained. Although this recipe uses mozzarella, you can change it for your personal favourite and tune the toppings for maximum satisfaction!

Ingredients

  • 4 pita bread
  • tomato purée
  • 4 slices of ham, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a little oil.
  2. Place the pita bread onto the baking sheet. Spread tomato purée evenly over the pitas with the back of a spoon. Then add the ham, mozzarella and Parmesan.
  3. Season the pizza with salt and pepper, and the dried oregano if you’re using it. Then drizzle with a little olive oil.
  4. Bake until cheese is golden and bubbly, which will be about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Cut into quarters and serve.
